Over the last 6 months or so, I’ve noticed the trend of very classic fonts getting a modern spin. From super thin hairlines – to over-sized slabs – or both of them together at once.. i can’t help but get excited…
Yesterday I was researching fonts for a client & came across one I’ve been meaning to figure out: F37 Bella
This font looks strikingly similar to the Didot & Bauer Bodoni Font Families – but definitely gives off a vibe that is distinctly its own. I love how the hairlines mix with the heavy lines – and those drops… they feel so modern, but feminine, and right now.

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011isn’t it funny how type can be associated with a place. like these below – cleverly matched with parisian photos – the fonts are all inspired by life in paris – some are more literal, while others are more about the romantic aura paris exudes.

Monday, November 8th, 2010this font is not new by any means – i believe it came out in 2006, but never-the-less it is still such a great font. i think they use this font a lot in Lula Magazine (my forever favorite magazine) and i also think i sew it a lot in foreign magazines, particularly dutch and scandinavian types. i want to use it everywhere. it is modern, feminine, edgy, decorative, pretty, you name it..
