soo i guess this is rather old – because it is behind the scenes footage from a shoot that took place in 2009 – but i thought i’d share it because it is still just as relevant and beautiful today as it was 3 years ago!

i’ve been pinning like crazy curls on pinterest! i like it because you can kind of throw a ton of stuff on there – and then save the best for the blog – which is what i’m doing now.. that way the blog can be super curated – only amazing stuff will make the cut – good idea/good idea?
so like usual – i’ve been following fashion week like a freak. but this time around – i’ve been obsessed with all the street fashion. yes, i know street fashion blogs are obviously not a new thing – but i’ve just fallen in love with how these ladies are translating fashion in their own unique way. AND – let’s not forget the talents behind the lenses. Wow! They chase after beautiful light – crop just so, emphasizing the scene stealing details – and if you follow their work frequently, they illustrate a really addicting story about the taste makers who are telling the story of fashion today.
Wow – so thought out for just some street style photos – but whatever – i’ll own it.
Below are a few of my favorite street style photos thus far – but we’re just getting started with Paris Fashion Week – & I’m sure our taste makers have saved their best looks for last…. so stay tuned!
I’m really excited for fall – something about sweaters, hats, coats, and boots just really do it for me.
So in anticipation for cooler temps – I wanted to post these pretty ladies looking lovely for the transitional weather.
*Now that I’m looking at the photos again – I don’t really think they are full on color blocking – so in the spirit of the weather – lets call it transitional color blocking..
first – love the cinematography – and the music – it just sets the tone.. you know something special is ahead.
second – what a beautiful event – put on by you + me styling i love the color scheme – how all the furniture is is white – allowing all the beautiful food, drinks, art, and props shine. speaking of art – those water colors done by Erin Fagerland – so amazingly perfect – i don’t know if i would want my guests to take them home – i think i’d want to live happily ever after with them forever – but seriously, what a perfect gift. also – i love that another gift they gave their guests were black and white pencils – the perfect touch. Anyway
don’t take it from me – just see for yourself!!

remember a few years ago – how colored denim was like huge?! could it be making another comeback… i think i’d be okay with it… depending on how you wear it. the worst thing about the colored demin thing was that people used it as an excuse to wear bright bright bright colors for shock value – like hey i’m wearing bright green pants and a neon yellow top because i don’t give a ….. the difference between that and these looks – is that they ground the pink with pretty neutrals .. chambray, white, navy, taupe – none of that screems – it just goessssssssss… ughh i did just say that – a little lame…. ohswellsbells.

i always wondered if anyone ever wore the chanel hotpants karl puts on the runway just about every season… imagine my delight to find this photo of poppy delevigne WEARING THE HOT PANTS – and looking really, really great. the shorts are definitely leggy to say the least – but because everything else is very casual – she finds the perfect balance of sexy, effortless cool.

gentlemen, take note. this is how you dress. slightly flooded pants, no sign of sock, black fitted – but not tight – lether jacket, tortoise specs, and classic canvas/leather bag.
so i’m very excited! remember i was telling you about that little thing i am working on called le registrie? well – tomorrow is a big day – i mean it’s not huge – but you’ve got to celebrate the small things….. i digressssssss.
anyway – tomorrow, john and i will be taking vignette/editorial photos of a bunch of cool little things – i’ll be styling – and it will be one of the first time i’ll be actually trying my hand at prop styling…. so excited!
we’re taking these photos – which will be front in center in the media kit we are sending boutiques – in hopes that they’ll be so excited to be founding partner shops in le registrie.
below you’ll find our inspiration! soo excited. stay tuned!
emma stone is really killing it lately, no? the first look is lanvin, then louis vuitton, lanvin again, calvin klein, and finally chanel. i love the messy-chic hair and those raspberry lips – and i love that she doesn’t mind her pale limbs – which i can totally relate to. can’t wait to see what she wears next!
genius! apparently this one is from american apparel.
love that dress.
love her as a blonde.
maybe i should tan.
i love everything about this – amanda looks amazing – the clothes – something about black and white lace in black and white – uh so good – and did i mention all the adorable little pets?
