ALC was absolutely my favorite collection from London Fashion Week. Mulberry was a close second – but everything here just looks effortless and perfect – and makes me realize I need leather pants.. like need. PLUS maybe I’ll try some sort of updated printed matching twin-set… maybe…. maybe….

While redesigning my portfolio site, I think I was subliminally influenced by Maje Paris’s Fall collection!
I love – love the classic french color palette and those coats with the skinny lapels.. it’s just what I want in a jacket this season!
via Maje’s Facebook – like them and see the rest of the collection – it was hard just picking six!
soo i guess this is rather old – because it is behind the scenes footage from a shoot that took place in 2009 – but i thought i’d share it because it is still just as relevant and beautiful today as it was 3 years ago!
thanks Ben Rayner for Wonderland Magazine
i’ve been pinning like crazy curls on pinterest! i like it because you can kind of throw a ton of stuff on there – and then save the best for the blog – which is what i’m doing now.. that way the blog can be super curated – only amazing stuff will make the cut – good idea/good idea?
so like usual – i’ve been following fashion week like a freak. but this time around – i’ve been obsessed with all the street fashion. yes, i know street fashion blogs are obviously not a new thing – but i’ve just fallen in love with how these ladies are translating fashion in their own unique way. AND – let’s not forget the talents behind the lenses. Wow! They chase after beautiful light – crop just so, emphasizing the scene stealing details – and if you follow their work frequently, they illustrate a really addicting story about the taste makers who are telling the story of fashion today.
Wow – so thought out for just some street style photos – but whatever – i’ll own it.
Below are a few of my favorite street style photos thus far – but we’re just getting started with Paris Fashion Week – & I’m sure our taste makers have saved their best looks for last…. so stay tuned!
I’m really excited for fall – something about sweaters, hats, coats, and boots just really do it for me.
So in anticipation for cooler temps – I wanted to post these pretty ladies looking lovely for the transitional weather.
*Now that I’m looking at the photos again – I don’t really think they are full on color blocking – so in the spirit of the weather – lets call it transitional color blocking..
recently i’ve become obsessed with infusing fashion into my design work – particularly for my personal branding and porfolio page… so i’m loving these royal blues – bandanas, paisley print, leopards, knits, and pastel ombres. i’m excited to share what i’m working on -but for now – here are my sourcesss
it’s so true!
1. i don’t think anything needs to be said here. / 2. that ring and those sunnies… uhhhh yeah. / 3. the sheer skirt under the short skirt – and those leopards – come on – you have to love that! ? 4. the arrow pin – sooo good. i think it’s a clever play on the feminine ribbon bow tie. plus++++ i love how she mixes the two hues of blue. she’s after my heart with that move.
i love those asymetrical dresses and that billowy blouse!
i love the phillip lim smiley tee tao is wearing. i think he reissues the smiley tee every season slightly different. just had to say i love it!!
so remember like 5 seconds ago i was talking about that celine bag??
as promised – here is a more detailed ‘study’ of the bag via elin king and after drk oh and a few celine adverts for good measure.
isn’t this bag just beautiful!?
i love how organic and raw it looks – yet still incredibly chic and sophisticated.
one thing in particular i love is that i think the bag is unlined – like the vintage coach, and dooney and burke bags which are beautifully made – last forever – and still smell like leather – my favorite bag smell.
what do you think – are you convinced – do you love this bag??
remember a few years ago – how colored denim was like huge?! could it be making another comeback… i think i’d be okay with it… depending on how you wear it. the worst thing about the colored demin thing was that people used it as an excuse to wear bright bright bright colors for shock value – like hey i’m wearing bright green pants and a neon yellow top because i don’t give a ….. the difference between that and these looks – is that they ground the pink with pretty neutrals .. chambray, white, navy, taupe – none of that screems – it just goessssssssss… ughh i did just say that – a little lame…. ohswellsbells.

psst it’s isabel marant
i know this is old news – but i love this craig lawrence dress daisy is wearing to the british academy television awards.
and guess what! this is from dkny – you heard right. not donna karan collection. – DKNY – that means i may actually be able to buy this!
wouldn’t this look soooo good on someone with uber pale skin and uber blonde hair aka meeemememmememe (minus the uber blonde hair - but that’s okay maybe i’ll change back to blondie when it is time to wear this coat)
is it sad to admit that i was in a bad mood until i realized this was dkny and i could possible afford this jacket!! now we just have to hope that a smart retailer picks it up.
i love kat macleod’s work. a few years ago i bought a cocktail book she illustrated – i think it will always be my very favorite – chic drinks and absolutely amazing illustrations. anyway – today i bought another book she illustrated called ‘like i give a frock’ – filled with even more watercoloured ladies. then i stumbled upon these prints… i have no words… just perfect.
