This is one of my favorite pages from the B&A Artists Journal – a promotional zine they distributed to art directors to promote their artists. I love the use of negative space – and how the artwork cleverly mirrors the photograph. I also can’t help but mention that the photograph, taken by Mark Lund, is equally playful, and full of the kind of natural light photographers dreams are made of.

Tuesday, January 17th, 2012Over the last 6 months or so, I’ve noticed the trend of very classic fonts getting a modern spin. From super thin hairlines – to over-sized slabs – or both of them together at once.. i can’t help but get excited…
Yesterday I was researching fonts for a client & came across one I’ve been meaning to figure out: F37 Bella
This font looks strikingly similar to the Didot & Bauer Bodoni Font Families – but definitely gives off a vibe that is distinctly its own. I love how the hairlines mix with the heavy lines – and those drops… they feel so modern, but feminine, and right now.
