i love this fur ottoman sooooooo much. the color of that fur is uh-mazing. i’m debating whether it would be better if the legs were different – or if i like the simpleness of 4 straight legs… what do you think??
so after i wrote that last post – i went back to michelle’s website and found so many more inspiring pieces that i can’t help but share. i also really wanted to post a shot of the flower rug in full. wow-isn’t it amazing!? i love seeing it close up (like in the other pictures i posted) – the details are something else – but then seeing how she infuses this 3D element she plays with – it just takes it to another level.

so i wanted to get a bit more personal on this blog – not anything too crazy but – you know. so we’ll start with this – one of the major projects i’ve been working on is a website called le registrie. it’s an idea i’ve had for a few years now – but last july i started to get a bit more serious about it. (le registrie is a gift registry site that connects brides with amazing e-boutiques, designers, and heritage brands) so i’ve had my eye on this one boutique gretel for a while now. i love what they sell – and i love how their website so beautifully compliments their products. anywayz recently they’ve gotten alot more into taking these super pretty, editorial-esq vignettes of their wares – and i noticed this amazing rug they were using as a backdrop (you’ll see it below). we turns out – the rug is designed by michelle weinberg – a miami based artist. so of course, i dug around abit on the net and found all these other amazing pieces she has done. painting, textiles, public art – all so good! i love how she combines color – how she uses pattern, and the 3-d like quality many of her painting have. i’ve posted a few of my favorite things below – but make sure to check out her work – it is sure to leave you inspired.

don’t you just get the feeling like you want to make a chandelier when you look at this picture? like – wow – making a chandelier would be so simple. heh – yeah.
Hotel Basico, Mexico
i love the simpleness of this. i love that getting simpleness just right is an art.
john and i visited the getty a while ago – and while i love me some art – i was mesmerized by the gardens. there is something about a flower in full bloom – a bloom so full it look like the petals may blow away in the wind – something i have yet to achieve in store bought stems. i especially love how these effortlessly perfect flowers look against the backdrop of the ultra modern getty – take me back to there.

i love my public bike
love that dress.
love her as a blonde.
maybe i should tan.
i saved this because of the color – but i also love the shape of the ‘crest’ and how they mix patterns. i mean – it’s basically just dots and lines all consistent in weight – i think that makes it even more interesting.
