disco ball stairs.. uhhhh, yes please!

Wednesday, October 27th, 2010

i am the proud owner of a disco ball- or two.. but come on, this disco ball inspired staircase is absolutely beyond amazing. which leaves me wondering.. how could someone without stairs do something equally as chic and inspired? maybe the inside of a window sill, outdoor steps or garden pavers could be cool, or maybe just a little strip of wall.. like some random, meaningless architectural element that is subtle, but could really pop by adding disco ball mirrors?! wow.. just such a cool idea.

i think this is from rue magazine, or one of their contributors blogs’.

today i feel alive! It’s been awhile since i’ve felt so much excitement and nerves all at the same time. i’m pitching a little business idea at startup weekend, phoenix. positive vibes are out there.. i feel them… i just need to find a place to put the fear, so all my positive energy can shine through. : )

These beaded pocket purses by JF & Son may be old news… but that doesn’t discount how much I love them. So fun, special, and definitely something I haven’t seen before. I really love how wacky the first bag in the first image is with the textural black and red sequin-esq thing going on, everything about the 2nd image… (which i think is the back of the third image), and in the forth image… do you think it is hand painted, or was is designed to look like that… either way it is genius and beautiful. I am actually planning a quilt in the color scheme of the second image, (my favorite color scheme of the moment) so that was inspiring and gets me excited to start working on that project!

what a great little pop up shop! what amazes me is the attention to detail that was put into the shop, even though it is only temporary. like.. i love the wall papered closet in the third photo, the patch of yellow that spans two walls and the palest pink sheer curtain that casts such beautiful light in the second.. and the mirrors, books, and faux rug in the first… so many great ideas.
thanks fashionista!!

i love the dress…. but can we skip to the shoes for a minute?! lately i’ve really been loving the idea of classic pumps with a natural colored heel.. but then that little chain.. so good… even better.. that chain idea could be a really easy DIY project… now i’m wondering.. what shoes in my closet deserve the chain?

i really appreciate that barneys puts effort designing their email newsletter. even though i can hardly afford to shop there, i’m always excited to open their emails and see what fun surprise is inside.
