ALC was absolutely my favorite collection from London Fashion Week. Mulberry was a close second – but everything here just looks effortless and perfect – and makes me realize I need leather pants.. like need. PLUS maybe I’ll try some sort of updated printed matching twin-set… maybe…. maybe….
ALC F/W 2012
February 23rd, 2012Negative Space + Pandas
January 17th, 2012This is one of my favorite pages from the B&A Artists Journal – a promotional zine they distributed to art directors to promote their artists. I love the use of negative space – and how the artwork cleverly mirrors the photograph. I also can’t help but mention that the photograph, taken by Mark Lund, is equally playful, and full of the kind of natural light photographers dreams are made of.
F37 Bella
January 17th, 2012Over the last 6 months or so, I’ve noticed the trend of very classic fonts getting a modern spin. From super thin hairlines – to over-sized slabs – or both of them together at once.. i can’t help but get excited…
Yesterday I was researching fonts for a client & came across one I’ve been meaning to figure out: F37 Bella
This font looks strikingly similar to the Didot & Bauer Bodoni Font Families – but definitely gives off a vibe that is distinctly its own. I love how the hairlines mix with the heavy lines – and those drops… they feel so modern, but feminine, and right now.
Une Fille Comme Les Autres
January 17th, 2012I love this little spot by Matthew Frost for Jalouse Magazine. I mean, you know I have a thing for effortless, french styling and cute little french phrases.

November 11th, 2011Maje Paris – F/W 2011
November 10th, 2011While redesigning my portfolio site, I think I was subliminally influenced by Maje Paris’s Fall collection!
I love – love the classic french color palette and those coats with the skinny lapels.. it’s just what I want in a jacket this season!
via Maje’s Facebook – like them and see the rest of the collection – it was hard just picking six!
Beyonce as Audrey Hepburn
November 9th, 2011Another video – I know!! But I seriously cannot get enough of this Audrey Hepburn inspired video by Beyonce for her song Countdown. Seriously, the song is so catchy, the Funny Face references make me so happy, & Beyonce is adorable, but still über sexy.
OH AND – did you see the stained glass in the studio scene?! – I don’t think it is real stained glass… I’m guessing it is either painted on -or- a clever, clever post production trick. Really it doesn’t matter what it is i.still.love.it!

florence + the machine | behind the scenes
November 9th, 2011soo i guess this is rather old – because it is behind the scenes footage from a shoot that took place in 2009 – but i thought i’d share it because it is still just as relevant and beautiful today as it was 3 years ago!

fashion week street style
September 30th, 2011i’ve been pinning like crazy curls on pinterest! i like it because you can kind of throw a ton of stuff on there – and then save the best for the blog – which is what i’m doing now.. that way the blog can be super curated – only amazing stuff will make the cut – good idea/good idea?
so like usual – i’ve been following fashion week like a freak. but this time around – i’ve been obsessed with all the street fashion. yes, i know street fashion blogs are obviously not a new thing – but i’ve just fallen in love with how these ladies are translating fashion in their own unique way. AND – let’s not forget the talents behind the lenses. Wow! They chase after beautiful light – crop just so, emphasizing the scene stealing details – and if you follow their work frequently, they illustrate a really addicting story about the taste makers who are telling the story of fashion today.
Wow – so thought out for just some street style photos – but whatever – i’ll own it.
Below are a few of my favorite street style photos thus far – but we’re just getting started with Paris Fashion Week – & I’m sure our taste makers have saved their best looks for last…. so stay tuned!
color blocking for fall
September 20th, 2011I’m really excited for fall – something about sweaters, hats, coats, and boots just really do it for me.
So in anticipation for cooler temps – I wanted to post these pretty ladies looking lovely for the transitional weather.
*Now that I’m looking at the photos again – I don’t really think they are full on color blocking – so in the spirit of the weather – lets call it transitional color blocking..
fashion and design
August 18th, 2011recently i’ve become obsessed with infusing fashion into my design work – particularly for my personal branding and porfolio page… so i’m loving these royal blues – bandanas, paisley print, leopards, knits, and pastel ombres. i’m excited to share what i’m working on -but for now – here are my sourcesss
it’s all in the details
August 3rd, 2011it’s so true!
1. i don’t think anything needs to be said here. / 2. that ring and those sunnies… uhhhh yeah. / 3. the sheer skirt under the short skirt – and those leopards – come on – you have to love that! ? 4. the arrow pin – sooo good. i think it’s a clever play on the feminine ribbon bow tie. plus++++ i love how she mixes the two hues of blue. she’s after my heart with that move.
